I thought the Greddy PE 2 was a 70mm piping which I believe was said to be the equivalent to 2.75" and not 3". Can anybody confirm that?

Yeah, it's somewhere between 70 and 80mm. I have one on my 98 Civic Coupe. It's loud without the silencer, but with the silencer it's pretty quiet. I was surprized at how much different it was with the silencer. It also doesn't sound like *** with the silencer in it. I drive arround now with the silencer in and just take it out when I go to track or just want the power back. I feel a bit of a difference with the silencer in in terms of power... it's like the engine doesn't want to rev as freely. Keep in mind that I'm supercharged tho. Overall, the exhaust is awsome!!! I finally found one that I like.

BTW, you won't find a PE2 for the Civics, but the Integra one will fit fine. The only problem is that the muffler sits in a bit further from the bumper then I'd like, but we're talking maybe 2 inches or 3 at the most. Also, you'll have to get a custom cat to get it to fit. If you call Random Technologies they have mine on file. I got a 2.5 to 2.5 to fit it. The piping drop back down to 2.5 for the cat mateup. It's only about 1" of piping that does this however so it's cool. Also, don't just think you'll be able to fit any cat... you have to measure how long it'll be. I put my exhaust on and then measured the length I needed for the cat. Like I said, Random Tech has my stuff on file. Be sure you get the right inlet size tho. I'm using 2.5 because of my Kamikazi headers.

Enjoy!

Is there an off change the universal Apex N1 turbo muffler would bolt up to thermal 3" piping?

I think its comes down to what you want out of the exhaust system.
Function, look, or sound?

Thermal is about the best your gonna get for function, and i'd say if you want the most power for what you put into it, you need the 3"
