Im running apex n1 3" with kteller8 3" piping, no cat, no resonator, no silencer. It is a bit on the loud side, but it sounds awesome. Sounds like a mix between a turbo honda and an FD I wish i had a soundclip. Thermal is great quality, but i don't like the look of it . Looks like apepboys muffler IMO.

Yeah I'm actually gonna be having the same exhaust as you, right down to the muffler. I've never been a fan of Thermal.

I have the same except a megan racing N1 which in my opinion is better than the apex. I also like thermal though its just expensive.

super 4 inch
i just put a 4 inch on mine, from the 3 inch turbo strainght to the 4 inch all the way back sounds sooooo good and it made a big diff on my trap speed at the trap almost 5mph faster from the 3inch that i had before

why do you prefer the megan? what are the noticeable differences? also wondering, does it come with hangers welded on?

3" DP w/Flewpipe. 3" exhaust piping in stock location with MagnaFlow 3" straight muffler. exhaust sounds deep.
i spent about $300 for all the supplies including muffler, Flexpipe, DP flange, 3" DP/exhuast connector and hangers.
i'm thinking about running the pipe straight back under the gas tank with a 90 degrees bend with the muffler pointing up like an N1. Exhaust flow doesn't get better than that !

I have Thermal 3" and I think it sounds awesome. Very deep throaty sounding. Nothing some of the rice burning sounds I hear when I blow their doors off.

Apex mufflers have the gay silencer built into it.. Makes the inside of the mufler much smaller than 3" The megan is probably built by the same company and is 3" all the way through. Plus I paid $99 shipped for it. I have compared it directly with the apex and it is the same, except for that silencer.

Running the thermal 3" on my crx. Would have went custom, but got a great deal on it ($300 bucks!). Sounds great, not too loud.

same here. i've been running open downpipe for about a week now, but the last month or so i've had a 3" thermal on my car and i love the sound of it. i'll be putting the exhaust back on soon, its definantly one of my fav. sounding systems.

I run 3" thermal and for some reason my mid pipe is really light. Its Stainless Steel, but the whole section from the axle to the cat only wieghs about 5lbs. I was so surprised. I am changing out the muffler though I wanna do the N1 style.

I use and recommend the thermal. Its expensive, but the fitment and sound quality are the best I have found installing/using different exhausts from the past few years.
