Default Thermal wrap for Intercooler pipe charge pipe (LINK ADDED FOR CLARITY) LOOK PLEASE

http://www.designengineering.c...id=33

I looked at lowes and home depot but could not find anything. I am looking to wrap the charge pipe with some type of insulating/ reflective material kind of like the DFI stuff that summit sells but I know I can find it cheaper somewhere local. I want to do this because I have an autometer 2 channel air intake temp gauge and for a test I put the probe right of the cold side end tank then I put one right before the TB. there was 15 to 20 degrees difference being hotter at the throttle body. I can run the car real hard and the intercooler is cold to the touch on the cold side but pop the hood and touch the charge pipe and it will burn the skin right offf your hand. I don't know why the engine bay is transfering so much heat but it is.. I also run a hondata intake manifold gasket so I am trying to get things as cool as possible without buying a carbon fiber IM thanks all for the help

Check with http://www.akarimotorsports.com, they have a thermal dispersant coating
which will let the heat out but not in, great for intercooler piping and its baked on so it wont scratch off.
