got a quick question for everybody, is there something wrong with this sleeve or is that just normal piston wear?

no... something is WRONG with that. looks like it was running lean and the piston started to expand

they look like aftermarket sleeves judging by the groove for o-ring. doesn't look that bad imo, hone and you're ready to try again.

now my question is it is ok if i just put new pistons, ect in it without taking it to get it hone

it kinda looks like just marks where the rust was scrapped off from turning the motor. Could be marks from pieces of ring land...hard to tell from one pic.

I would just pull the pistons out and clean the rust off so you can see what you have.

ok here's the whole story. it's a d16y8 with benson sleeved .02 overbore as u can tell it is a used motor
now i got brand new pistons, etc and i'm trying to sell it and after showing pictures to the guy that's suppose to buy it he said he's worry it's piston slap and is afraid to buy it.
