Re: tapping oil pan
I always see pictures of pans tapped for the oil return line, but never see anything about the oil feed line. Doesn't the pan have to be tapped for that too from the back of the pan? I'd like to see more pictures of that...

Re: tapping oil pan (degradated)
the oil feed line comes from the oil pressure sensor normally...not the oil line. The oil going into the turbo is under high pressure (whatever the oil pressure of the engine runs at) and goes through a small metal hose. Normally you unscrew the stock oil pressure sensor on the back of the engine, insert a T off that and run a line to the turbo and then screw the stock pressure sensor on the T.
The oil which comes out of the turbo is like a foam. After oil goes though a turbo spinning at 80,000 rpms....its just a foam. Thats why the line from the turbo to the oil pan is 3/4" or something thick..its not really liquid anymore. Although once it gets into the oil pan it will mix with the other oil..

Re: tapping oil pan (G3-TEG)
i just cut a hole and welded a nut onto the outside of the pan, then threaded the hose fitting into the nut. seems to be working fine. i have better things to spend 400 bucks on than a oil pan........like more dyno runs...........
