Default Tapping Oil Line from head?? does it work? enough oil?

i was wondering if there is enough flow to keep the turbo cool/lubricated? i saw a turbo'd LS a few days ago that tapped the hole right next/above the water temp sensor for oil. does this reduce the amount of oil flowing to the head and if it does, wouldn't that be bad once you're in the higher rpms? most of the cars i've seen turbo'd tap oil where the oil pressure sensor is.

well think of it like this.. the flow of anything where ever is more freely it will follow its path.. just like E cutouts for exhaust.. so i would think that yes you would lose a bit of oil to the head.. but it being harmfull i cant say

but yes it would be bad. theres a few that have done it, but some of them burned up their turbines.

exactly what i was thinking as well. the dude with the turbo'd LS said that a shop installed it for him. if there isn't enough flow...WTF was the shop thinking? to add to that, the line was pretty small as well.
