t67 swapping the hotside
my friend has a stupid combo turbo that has like a really small compressor side coupled to like a 1.10 or 1.12 A/R hot side. t4 or even t6.
would i see any benefit from cross pollinating that hot side onto my t3 t67. i know this could be a really dumb question but just had to ask haha. im building an 2L ls vtec turbo setup and having a new manifold fabricated. the big hot side would be the donkey but im sure it would have adverse affects on power or non at all, or really bad lag. im only revving to 8500 too.

What exhaust side is on the turbo right now?
You already know this but it really all depends on your power goal and your rev's, most likely right now they way you have your t3/t67 its already good enough..
500-600whp is no problem on those things and they don't spool too bad either.
Let your friend keep his truck turbo. hheheee

Re: t67 swapping the hotside (JDMs1eeper)
it has the .63 hot side. the "regular" t3/t67, but the H.O. only supports 20 more whp with the .83 hot side.
so what would 1.08 support haha. its is t4 im pretty sure.
im shooting for high 600's

you can do high 600s with that turbo but you will need a .82 housing. The .63 will limit you to about 580. we can get you one if you need

how much are those, like 300$ lol?
why are the 2 turbos only rated 20whp apart from each other (non H.O. verses HO)
but the .63 would limit me to high 500's and the H.O would get me upper 600's, that doesnt make much sense from a physical and sales point of view. I checked on that big turbo, its a 1.15 hot side XS POWER mated to i think to a .48(lol) garret cold side.

Re: t67 swapping the hotside (SPOOLINmatt)
so does anyone know it the 1.15a/r xspower hotside would go on to the t67, and if it would make more power than the standard .63.
Im just trying to get over 650 with the crap i have laying around.
