Default t3t4 or gt30?

Went to my local shop and we got into a big fight...they claim a t3/t4 is garbage and that even a turbo the size of t25 with ball bearings will out perform a regualr t3/t4 turbo. I am almost done savign up the money to buy my turbo...is it worth waiting until November just to get a gt30? Is it really that much better? PLEASE HELP!

as I said, unless you are a high end user, you wont appreciate the benefits the GT30 provides IMHO

Specs and goals would help.....

As far as the shop goes. Go back in. Raise your hand like in a Sure deodorant commercial. Extend the middle finger. Leave shop. Go home and get on hondatech. Buy a turbo from one of us here.

remove 9,10,11, replace with ITR valve train, and GSR cams. I've had very bad experiences with Crowers valve train, block guards, and the Jacobs stuff. Just trust me on this, you won't be sorry.

I had an exhaust cam blow up and wreck my motor. My good friend Joe had a Crower retainer split and destroy his motor. Is it garbage? Yes. Portflow is good, Ferrera is great.

<------ Joe...

Yes, I had a crower titanium retainer "pull" through and drop a valve into my motor which as you can see is being rebuilt now... I was not racing, I was merely cruising when it snapped... They changed their design, and they say it's better now... but I will use portflow. You can use what you wish....

yeah it is...when I was breaking in the motor...I use to hate taking off the line...but believe it or not...the wait for you to feel power was not that bad....like 4-5 seconds...then it drives like a normal car...the wait will be less noticeable when I slap on the turbo...I hope.

How do I know if the crower stuff I have is old or the "new" design?

T3/T4 rules! Honeslty i'd grab for a T3/T4 60-1 Turbo. That should statisfy your need for power.

If you goal is only 300whp I would just run a small t3/4 like a .63 exhaust with a .50 compressor. Quick spool up and it will hit your hp goal. With something that small I don't think a ball bearing would be worth it.
