i know 85 and 1986 did

 

Do you know what the a/r of the turbine housing is those turbos?

 

auto's are .48 and 5 speeds are .63 with a stage 1 turbine wheel on both

 

i got one off a manual merkur and its a .48 ex .60 comp. i think it mighta been an 88

 

So what's the HP potential of these turbos?

 

I was thinking of upgrading to a t3 too (GReddy kit now) how much did you get the murkur turbo for? Did you stumble across it in a wrecking yard or do know where to find'em? Also does it have an internal wastegate? and do you know if this will bolt up to the GReddy manifold (d16)? I've heard t3's bolt up but I've heard a lot of things about this...

i got it for 150 at a junk yard. they pulled it for me. i just happend to be there and asked and they had one. i dont think a greddy turbo manifold has a t3 flange on it. i think they use mitsu td05's which wont line up. it has an internal wastegate but i dont know the psi its activated at ( havent installed the turbo yet). so anyway it will fit your manifold if you manifold has a t3 exhaust housing flange on it otherwise it wont.

 

Greddy has a T25 flange that would work for T25/T28/TD04/TD05.

 

As far as power potential...The .63 housing turbos should make over 350 whp @15psi
