Default t3/60-1 spool time

Hey guys is the t3/60-1 spool up ok on the street? I was either considering going t3/t04e but was told that it doesnt have a serious amount of top end, and I would prefer top end but also want it to spool up ok for the street. I don't mind some lag. I'm building my ls bottom end with cp 9.1 c/r eagle rods, and a stock gsr head with skunk manifold. I know in the future some time down the road that I will do more of a serious build and the 60-1 would also be a good choice cuz it can make a lot more power and psi than I will be running since i wont be sleeving my block. I need some real serious opinnions guys, because in the next few weeks I will be ordering a full turbo kit from my homeboys shop. So help me out guys thanks.

depends on how it's configured. i had a t3/60-1 hifi on my car

compressor was:
60-1 compressor wheel
.60 a/r compressor housing

turbine:
stage 3 turbine wheel
.63 a/r housing

on a stock internal ls i made full boost (10-15psi) up around 4500 if i remember right.

How about giving us all the info on the turbo you're looking at?

A T3/60-1 with a stage 3 .48 A/R hot side is going to spool radically different from a T3/60-1 with a stage 5 .82 A/R hot side.

I would like to run the t3/60-1 with 60-1 compressor wheel 61 lb/min, .70 ar compressor housing stage 3 wheel, .63 turbine housing, 360 degree thrust bearing and 4 bolt standard turbine discharge. I get the specs on this from full race. So the one that I have listed what you guys think about doing my build up on it from my first post. How you think with these turbo specs how will it do on the street.

i have that turbo/setup and although its a bit laggy, i start buildin boost around 3000rpm, and hav full boost before 5000, although its only 8 lbs, hoping for 18 lbs by 5500 rpms' pulls like a raped ape to redline too

So coptzer u think its an ok turbo for the street? I mean you think I should go with it or go with the t3/t04e? I love top end a lot and dont mind some lag. Well does the t04e have a lot of top end? Would it make solid power to like 9k rpms? I just want to make the right decision, and be satisfied with what I get.

if you like top end then get the 60-1

the to4e has some good mid range and some good top end but the 60-1 will just rip!

well my last turbo setup was greddy kit on a d series and that basically had instant spool up, and to be honest i dont mind the leg, on the highway its always there, but its not like the greddy kit where you can jus punch the gas and go, you have to select the right gear, **like you are supposed to in a honda lol

I have one on my 2.0l and it does lag, it really starts to scream at 5000. Im only boosting 7psi off the WG right now so its not doing what it was designed to do at the moment.

But once its spooled the motor runs out of rpms before the turbo runs out of breath.
