just wondering what would be a better street turbo on a 1.6 dont mind lag but want something thatll hit boost at 5500- 6k rpms the goal max is 500 , but more realistically is 400 - 450, will be using a fullrace manifold and 3inch downpipe

Re: cheapturbos.com t3/gt35 "blowzilla" or full race's t3/t67 (Sideout)
compressor: GT35
.70 a/r
61mm inducer
flow: 65 lbs/min 832cfm
turbine: T3
your choice of .63a/r or .82a/r housing
stg3 turbine wheel standard
thats all it says on the site i dont think its DBB =\

I think the blowzilla will have quicker spool but im positive that the t3/t67 will have insane top end power (more than the blowzilla). I would consider boring out that 1.6 because there will be a considerable amount of lag with eithier of these turbos, unless you are reving to 9500 rpms

i dont know if your gonna like either turbo , but they will both supply big hp . Boostedhybrid isnt happy with the t3/67 response on his 1.8, i can only imagine the 1.6. then again he isnt pushing alot of boost to it.

It doesn't matter if he revs to 20000, lag is lag.

ya but you wont drop out of the point of full boost, yes the motor goes to 9500 - 9800 rpms the shifts from there usually land me back at 6200 - 6500 on the 1- 2 -3 shifts so something thatll spool around that would be good, i dont mind lag i like hooking up on the street i dont want something that makes full boost before 5200- 5500 rpms

Yeah I LOVE MY FULL RACE T4/T67 and my lil ole B16A! Also my turbo hits full boost 6700 rpm due to the large T4 housing and P trim wheel, the 3 turbine housing WILL spool much quicker/sooner and prolly wpuld be a great turbo for you. I know of a ceratin board member who made 628whp on the Full Race T3/T67 and he loves it.

he is running a *stock* GSR motor, with an extremely conservative tune. i dont feel that is a fair comparison, especially since he has experience with true gt series dual bb turbos, not the bushing downgraded versions like cheapturbos or precisions sc61. very few people can afford a GT turbo, or have experience with them.
if you want a GT turbo we can probably give you some of the best prices around.

You would be suprised, these turbos are suprisingly effiecient at lower boost. 400whp has been made with under 15lbs
