Default T25 vs. 14b?

can someone please explain the differences between a 14b turbo and a t25?

i already realized that the oil drain flange for a t25 is slightly larger (because i ordered a 14b part and then realized i had a t25 )

any insight is appreciated. thanks.

im just wondering what are any significant differences on the 14b/t25.

well the t25 is smaller than the 14b. unless you were planning on getting a 14b, it sounds like your only problem is your flanged issue...you might be able to get away with that by going to home depot or something and finding something that fits. that's my educated guess

It's smaller and won't support what a 14b will make.

hmm. better because it won't make as much power as a 14b, or better because its just a better built turbo?

What ? A T25 is really small flows less and they spool about the same just get a 14b and stop wasting your time.

The drain flanges from the center of the mounting bolt hole to the center of the other side mounting bolt hole is:
T25- 44mm
14B-38mm

You could re-drill the bolt holes 2mm inward and have it work out for you.

As far as the 2 turbos, they're both small, but if I had a gun to my head I'd go with the 14b. Without a gun to my head, I'd be looking for a real turbo. haha.

yes, funny funny. if i had a couple g's to be throwing at my car for a full engine build, a "real" turbo, and a full dyno tune, it would be a different story. but this kinda fell into my lap and for my goals with an ls, this works just fine.

i was just wondering if there were any serious differences between these two turbos. but from what i can tell beyond oil flanges and oil inlets, i guess not.
