welll i just got my car tuned and didnt make what i hope to make...

at 10psi i made 200whp on my gsr. the turbo is small however, im not sure if i have a boost leak.... the intercooler i had did have a dent from the previous owner, i just wanna know how can i check to see if it has a boost leak... what are some symptoms of that..

 

pressure test it or
take it off the car and fill it up with water maybe to if it leaks?

 

Make a boost leak tester....google how to make one, they all work the same. Use a Shrader valve either by buying them by themselves from somewhere like Northern Tools, or by getting a bicyle inner tube and cutting the valve off. This lets you controll how much air goes in and lets you bleed if off if needed.

I did this on my Lotus and found a 4" crack in the weld of intake manifold. I had been running rich for months and couldn't figure out why after replacing and checking all kinds of things (I have a MAF system).
