Surging and code 14 help please
Hi guys I have a little problem here and hoping get some feedback..
I'll start with my setup
99 civic dx
D16y7
T3t4 turbo
340 cc injectors
155wilbro fuel pump
Chipped P28 ecu with obd2-1 conversion harness
Y8 im
I did the 3 to 2 pin iacv converssion as well
Magan 3.5 inch with no cat
So after finaly finishing and I turn the car on. The car idles normaly yet I'm still throwing code 14..!!! And wen I give the car a bit of gas it starts to surge.. I drove the car everything is normal except for the surging when I give it some gas.. Any thought why?
Also let me add I unplugged my iacv and the rev didn't go up.. From what unknow that means that the iacv it self is bad.. Is that true? I just need it confirmed
If I forgot to mention anything please ask.. Kinda fustrated lol

A d16y7 engine uses a 3 wire iacv by default.
Did you switch to a 2 wire iacv?
To use a 2 wire iacv. You must install an 5 speed d16y8 style intake manifold, throttle body, iacv, throttle cable to use a 2 wire iacv. You must also wire in a 2 wire iacv plug & re-pin the iacv at the ecu.
The alternate solution is to disable the iacv in the ecu and mechanically control your idle.

Yes I did all that 3 to 2 wire pin and got a y8 Manu.. Stil surging is it Posible that the iacv it self is bad cuz when I unglug it my rev stays the same and from what I know it's supposed to go up to around 3000 rpm
