supra help please
i no this is honda forums but its the best website for info anyways my boy has a 1987 toyota supra turbo ... the problem is when he trys to go the car turns jerks and wants to turn off on him if he goes over 3000 rpms could it b that its not getting enough fuel or what???

Although I find it hard to READ your post, I'll take a guess... perhaps the car is hitting some sort of a boost cut (overboosting), or perhaps there is a fuel pump/regulator problem?

yea i was readin online it they said it seems like the fuel filter is goin almost hes boostin 8 all the time so could that b a problem

when my poopra was running, the mass air flow sensor (the big hunk of plastic by the air filter) went bad. it caused it to jerk and want to die whenever i gave it more than like 25% throttle. check that and your vacume connections.

I have some experience with these cars... Does it only do this when trying to make boost? If so, theres probably an intake tube that came disconnected. I've seen the tube right off the turbo compressor outlet come off and we experienced the exact same thing. Car would run fine, then when you step on it it would bog out and rev down... That particular pipe even looked like it was on, but after removing the intake we found it had popped off...
