i guess this is kind of a stupid question, but when running an external coil and msd cap do you remove the old stock honda coil from the distributor? the hole for the stock coil in the cap is filled with "msd" red plastic so in order for my msd cap to work i have would have to remove the stock coil. is this normal, or do i have the wrong cap?

 

yeah, just remove the internal coil.
