MSD Distributor Cap Question
We'll I bought a new distributor cap yesterday and went to go put it on. The stock one has a little indentation on the top where this little plastic rod with a spring goes through. Well on the MSD cap where that rod goes there is that red plastic peice in the way. Can anyone help me please?

Yeah, the MSD cap is to convert to a external coil.
Here's a pic of my civic, you can see the MSD blaster coil on the passenger fender well and connected to the cap.

We'll what would I need to do then? I know I could bring it back but how to I set it up to be external? Is there even a advantage in doing that? Btw, it's on a 97 Integra.
PlasikOwl your pics don't work.

Okay, your not going to want to run an external coil... you can, but there is very little advantage with a stock engine set up. To run this CD ingnition, you would need to buy the external coil and an external ingnition(ie hi6 by crane etc) the cap and wire set... it is best that you return this cap and go and buy an OEM cap and call it a day. might as well get a rotor while your at it and your almost half way to a tune up
