Stuck on install again, need help.
I can't find the oil sending unit. I removed my oil pan and all I found was a black metal box with one small tube and one pretty large tube going into it. Is it on the firewall side or on the front bumper side? To the left or right? I thought it should have been right behind my oil pan? There's nothing with rubber housing like there's supposed to be. BTW, the car is a '93 Del Sol Si. I might just have not looked good enough. Anyone know where it is or what it looks like or what kind of lines are going into it? I'm open to suggestions. TIA.
is this for your oil feed?
go underneath your car and look up, you should see your oil filter and then the oil pressure sender next to it..
take a look at this pic:
The big open circle with the threaded thing coming out of it is where the oil filter goes. directly to the left of it, with all that **** coming out of it, is the oil pressure sending port (this was my old setup, i have since taken it all apart and re-done it so only a stainless line comes out of the block).
you should see a little black rubber thing iwth 1 wire coming out of it.. pull REAL hard and it will come off, revealing the pressure sender underneath.

Thats really fucked up. I didnt see anything to the left of my filter. Im printing your reply out though and going to take another look. If I dont find it... I dont know what Im going to do.
There's a black rubber piece covering the oil sender unit...if you didn't know...good luck.
Edit: Oops, Xerxes covered that.

I looked again. There is nothing there. No rubber boot, no line. Only one empty hole. Is it possible I dont have a unit on there? And that the hole has nothing in it? Im confused. I tried to snap some pics but it was really ******* hard so im about to transfer them and see how they look and then post them.
These are the best pics I could get of my view of the area:

To me it looks like you are not looking in the right place. The boot is kind of hard to spot. If I remember correctly there is a single wire coming out of it. It is within a few inches of the filter, away from the filter towards the driver side, on about the same level.

Your pictures are very limited in view, from what i see the thing the red arrow is pointing to is your oil pressure sending unit. remove this, screw in the T, screw back in the opsu, then connect your oil feed line to the other part of the T. bam, your done. Now i BELIEVE this is it, it could be your knock sensor, send more pictures, but it should be a rubber boot and have 1 wire going into it with a tiny phillips screw holding the wire against the unit. good luck

Here is some explaination. You just can't miss it. Pull the black rubber cover off that has 1 wire going into it and you'll see the oil sending unit. Unscrew it out of the block and screw in or what ever your oil feed line and t in your old oil sender. There will be no rubber hose thing in your oil pan or under the block. You will have to tap into your oil pan to put your oil dump tube there from the turbo.
Damn...i just gotta stop and congradulate u guys...u guys go head over heals to help each other out, and that's just so damn cool...i mean here's a perfect example...a guy needs help and u guys actually stop and go out and take pics to help him out!! this has got to be the coolsest bunch of folks in here on the internet!!

I cannot begin to say how much I appreciate the help you guys have given me. I found the proper hole and got it out, and just got back from the store with the proper T adapters to hook the rest of it up. BTW, yeah it's a Z6 engine. I just have to hook up my oil lines and re-assemble the pan and fill it up and I will be done. Thanks again.

In that pic of your "old" setup, the one with the unit sticking way off, why is the oil pressure sending unit not plugged in? As in, the electrical plug is not down on top of it like it is supposed to be? Is it supposed to be off when you put your turbo on? I kept mine on...that's how its supposed to be, right?
no, keep the sending unit off (the part with wires coming out) until you're done and put the oil filter..
then put it back in, easier to work this way, and also, make sure you have enough slacks in the feed line to go around the oil filter once you put it back in...

what up i got a 99 ls i know the sending unit is by the oil filter covered up with a black rubber cover. Does anyone know what size open end wrench you need to take the sensor out because all i know is that it's bigger than a 22 mm, thanks

WOAH! that looks kinda jacked up with the sender hangin off like that...I just stuck a barbed hose end in there, and connected a hose to the senders and feed line...with all that hangin off aren't you afraid it's going to break off?!

Having a Tee that long coming off the block and made of brass will basically ensure
failure.
Well, I have not seen it, but some have said that the block has cracked at that spot because of the stress. My line is run so the brass T is located away from the block. Then the feed lines runs from the T. I believe that will prevent a stress failure.
