Default STSTURBO.COM

Has anyone ever heard of this company before? A friend sent this site to me. They make a turbo kit which in mounted in place of you muffler in the rear of your car instead of the engine bay. That's right under the car. Check out the site. I see a few problems, like how are you gonna keep water out of the intake, having a cat before the turbo will make spoolup slow. Just ask the WRX guys about that. It's going to have long oil lines tapped in somewhere.

That would be pointless on a honda.

STS turbo is right near my house!

I have been there a few times to get parts and fittings for my turbo...

They have some cars and trucks there that are amazing! They are testing a kit for imports right now, they are waiting to see how long it will last etc.

One of the guys that works there has a CRX with a remote mounted turbo...

Did they give you any details on how well the kit was performing on the CRX?

Seems like the spool time would be terrible. That is a lot of charge pipe to compress air into, and the exhaust has already lost most of its heat.

He didn't say much about it, other than it's a little laggy...but that's to be expected, he's using a fairly big T3, he didn't mention the specs...

I asked him about any problems with driving through puddles etc when the turbo is hot and he said he hasn't had any problems yet...that's why they are testing it out for a while on his car before they start fabricating kits for imports...

The guys there at STS said they should have a kit for various Honda chassis within the next few years.

It's a really interesting concept and the kit works really well on Camaros and trucks because the engine bay is already pretty packed, but I'm not quite sure if it will ever work well enough on a Honda...we'll see...

Yeah it's going to be laggy with that setup. I would think with lowered cars and having the air intake under the car it would suck water. Even the camaros aren't that high off the ground. I would be worried all time driving in the rain here in florida. But thanks for the info.

I have to run down there within the next few days to pick some stuff up...

I'll see if I can snap some pics of his CRX and post them up for you.

Thanks, maybe you can ask the guy to give you a quick ride and see how the system feels. Do you know if he's running the crx with the stock engine?

He said something about having a CRVTEC...I'm not sure what's in the CRX though..

I'll ask him.
