Stripped bolthole in compressor housing ? trouble?

Stripped bolthole in compressor housing ? trouble?
well from rotating the housings trying to get everything to line up nice , one of the holes got stripped out . its on the comrpessor housing . all the rest are fine and this one is in , but not tightly. will this cause me probs? or no? should i just retap it?

You may be able to get away with just leaving it out if its one of the 6 bolts holding the housing to the cartridge.

yea its just one of the bolts you need to loosen to rotate the compressor housing . like i said its in there, just not tighlty , all the tohers are fine though.

usually that thread is M8x1.25. assuming that it is a garret or turbonetics turbo. you can retap (actually more like chase the threads to clean them up a bit) and then if there isnt enough meat (youll know becuase you wont be able o tightne the bolt, itll just spin) i have some helicoils, i think i have a 8x1.25 layin around if you need it. good luck!
btw you can usually find the m8x1.25 tap at any auto parts store.

yea its a Garret . . . whats a helicoil? sorry it might sound stupid to you , but i never heard fo that before
