precision sc50 WONT CLOCK
for the life of me, i cannot get this POS turbo to turn to where i need it.
The middle CHRA will move easily enough when the turbine housing is loosened, but the compressor will not. Ive even dummy fitted it to the engine and used 2 half inch extensions as breaker bars on the turbo compressor outlet to try and move it, it wont budge!
HELP ME! what am i missing? ive loosed the bolts!
Shoud i just take the 6 bolts off completely and refit compressor cover on the way i want it?

easy as pie on my precision turbo... loosened the bolts for both turbine and compressor housings... reclocked by hand.
how much did you loosen the bolts? it should not need much more than to have them backed out a couple threads but some people have said the housings stick a little and they used a rubber mallet to pop them loose.

thats the thing, ive undone them about half a turn, nothing, a full turn, nothing. Its like stuck so hard its not funny. Ive used 2 extension half inches (1 foot long x 2) to lever the cover and still nothing. Have i got a defective turbo? or what else could i be doing wrong?
Wow I've never heard of not being able to clock the compressor housing...I've always had trouble with the exhaust housing.
Anyway I would either take the compressor housing off completely if you can and put it back on where you want it, or if it still doesn't move try using a blow torch and heat up the compressor housing around the seal area. This has helped me in the past because it will expand the housing allowing it to spin.
Good luck!

Yes, you can take it off completely, turn it how you want, and just put it back on in place
