Default stay internal gate or go external ?

as some of you may have read i have a 93 civic with LS motor pushin 272 and 223 torqe with a internal gated T3 super 60. On the street i want to run 10 pounds and 14 on the track. however with the internal gate it seems as though it takes a lot longer to spool because the swingvalve is partially open which i hate =T anyone wanna recommend anything?

sounds like you actuator spring is too strong, and thus your gate is always open to run your low boost. Yank it off, and grab another acutator that uses less force to keep the gate open. That way you can have the gate shut untill boost hits with a ball and spring (MBC). I had the same issue as you with my T3/T4 and now my boost spools about 400 rpm fast and much more responsive. Or, take off the internal side of the exhaust and just plate up a straight DP over the flapper hole, and buy an external gate. hope that helps abit.

there are lots of people making huge power with internal gates. It seems to me the external gates eveyone uses are more for show than go in many applications.

if i routed the vaccum line to the intake manifold would the wastegate open sooner because theres a better pressure signal ? what im trying to do here is basically i want the swing valve SHUT until i reach 10 psi. HOwever what it is doing now when it is shut is jump to 14 psi @ 4500 RPM( which is whati want to run but now reconsidering for street set up 10 on street 14 on track) i want the boost to shoot up quick because it is a small turbo. However i want it to stay at 10 psi with the internal and the only way to do that was to adjust the wastegate to stay slightly open and it builds boost to get up to 10 psi, an amazingly SLOW build =-T well its alright it builds up like a T3 t4 but then i got a T3 super 60 for a reason!! which is FAST SPOOL !!! i've lost all that sort of characteristics which sucks *** =-T
