stacked head gaskets?

Default stacked head gaskets?

anyone have any experience with this? remove the rivets from like 2 oem head gaskets, line them up on top of each other, rivet them back, and put the on the car to lower compression...will it work?

it'll work, but don't be a ghetto....2 headgasket is about 150 plus bucks...
spend another hundred and get inlinepro gasket...

I remeber jason(littlebluecrx) doing this to a stock b16a engine and went low 10's in a full body 2nd gen teg with Jen williams behind the wheel

I've seen 3 headgaskets stacked before. It was hobo as hell and I'd never do it but I guess it worked for whatever they were trying to do. It was basically a bunch of dumb people trying to do stuff and it was overall a funny experience.

I wouldn't stack actual head gaskets, even if it has worked for someone else. Why not use something which was specifically made for this application? Find a copper "head shim" and use that in conjunction with your head gasket. I believe Fel-Pro makes them, among other people, and if you can dig up a part number you might even be able to order it from some exotic place like AutoZone. I've seen them in .020" thickness, but other sizes may be available depending on your application and what's out there. They are made of dead soft copper, which means they shouldn't blow and they can be reused... just think of it as making your block .020" taller and you've got the idea.

hehe. i said hes a moron b/c hes my friend first off.... and i wanna know as well... he told me to do to it my car..... and i wanted to hear something about it... so thanks!! i guess my "u're a moron" thing worked!!
