Re: turbo car 120,000 miles? (NA Junkie)
i just got an interga LS for really cheap with 120,000 miles on it as a winter project car.
i plan on going FI with this car for next season and was wondering if it needed a rebuild.
i did a couple of searches and some people on here stated that they turbo'd thier car with 90+K miles on it.
i do plan to do a forged bottom end but will i need to do more?
give me some input if you have any. thanks

Also how the engine was treaded in the past, and how you took care of it makes a big difference. My old stock motor at 100,000 miles, the cyl walls looked NEW. They still had the cross-hatch pattern on the sleeves!! Amazing.
So give the engine a looking over..inspect the rod bearings, and the rings. No use boosting on an engine thats going to blowup in a 1000 miles.

the way the car was cared for previously is a major concern when force inducting a high mileage car. make sure to atleast get a 30k mile tuneup, replace your timing belt/water pump if you already havent, and a compression check wont hurt either. need more info before i ramble on. basically, if the car was treated good and all maintenance was done previously, you should be ok.
