what you guys think about srp pistons? any experiences?

 

im running them right now kinda alot of slap when cold... but no problems yet

 

how long have u been running them?

 

I run SRP 10.5:1 pistons, the specs calculate out to be more like 10.1:1 according to http://www.knology.net/~jediklc/D.htm. I plan to boost it with that compression.

 

How is it so far?

I like them so far. I ran 100 shot on them, leaned out some, blew the headgasket and melted a spark plug. The SRP's didn't have a problem surviving the extra heat though. Now I'm going boost and maybe a small shot of nitrous later on.

 

I run them also, going on 1 year and no troubles and mine dont make any noise really, unless i cant hear it over my cam ..... i run 8.5:1 compression and boost

 

hmm sounds good so far. i wanna use em for a all motor/nitrous setup

 

SRP is JE. I'm pretty sure my JE's said SRP on them. I can't recall though. I bought them used (supposedly for 1,000 miles) and have since put on about 5,000 miles @ 9psi untuned. Going great so far.

 

Mine are also fine!

LOL, I hear ya, sewing machine style Damn ZEX cam.

I run the SRP 9:1 under boost as well, so far they seem fine.

 

over 8 k on them now and 5 of the 8 with boost on shitty fmu so that kinda says they can take a beating.
