Spark plugs a step colder, hard to find for b18a1
I'm running a nitrous setup on my b18a1 and I'm looking to get plugs that are a step colder that aren't iridium tip. Every thread I end up at that has my criteria met the link they provide is either dead, the product is discontinued or it says on the site with the product that is does not fit b18a1 motors only GSR motors, or ITR motors. Is there the same clearance spark plug wise with these two/three motors? Or does anyone know where I can find some step colder plugs for b18a1?

NGK only has as cold as a 7 (bkr7e) in a copper resistor type plug. If you want an 8 (part # r5671a-8 4554) in copper it is a non-resistor plug. If you are running hondata the non-resistor type plugs can interfere with data logging, but I hear this can be corrected by running NGK blue plug wires with "built in" resistance. That being said I run Neptune rtp and non-resistor 8 copper plugs with NGK wires and don't have any interference problems.

Thank you all for the information, Although I plan on going ahead and going with the heat range of 7, (pardon my ignorance) but every time I check compatibility at O'reillys or any other local auto shop, it still says that the plug is not compatible. Any info on why this is? or should I assume Hondatech knows better and buy them anyways.

You don't just need to go off of H-T, go into 99% of import shops, or hell any dyno shop that may keep plugs on hand. They will probably have stacks of BKR7E on hand.
Hell, I keep 4-5 sets in my garage ready to go, pre-gapped for use on both my Honda and Subaru.

The reason the auto parts catalogs say the plugs won't work is because each motor used a different heat range from the factory.
Pretty much every Honda b, d, f, k, h motor uses the same basic plug design (protrusion depth into the chamber, thread pitch, etc) with only the heat range and plug type (copper, platinum, iridium, and so on) being different.
Just like when I go to buy plugs for my svt focus at an auto parts store they show a plug for the non svt motor despite the plugs being totally different... Rarely should you take what a non OEM parts catalog tells you unless you're 100% sure it's the correct part.
When it doubt google it lol
