Default sleeved block

i bought a sleeved gsr block and i noticed that the oil supply jet is not in the block and the block was not retapped after they redecked the block why?

clearance for aftermarket rods, pretty common procedure.

Most builders recommend not using the oil jets when using aftermarket forged pistons. The (aftermarket forged) piston skirts will most likely knock the oil jets anyway... it happened to me. Since it is a sleeved block, the previous owner most likely used forged pistons....

Retapped? The ports should still be there just plugged.

He said "jet"...maybe he means #12...oil control orifice

And "re-tapped"?
