Default sorry, but Turbo with catch cans ..pls look..

I did a lot of searched, it seems like I am getting a gazillion different answer...

I have a greddy catch can which is NOT BAFFLED, I know they don;t do much, but what the hell...

I am gonna hook it up like this..

the valve cover to catch can, then catch can to the intake piping before the compressor

Am I right ?

second, if I insert a fitting in the intake piping, does it have to be at an angle like the stock one to the intake air filter ? or can I just get a brass fitting, drill the piping and screw the fitting on there and voila ??? would the brass fitting in the intake pipe hurt the airflow, since it'' disturbed the air flow from the air filter to the compressor ?

TIA

I'm pretty sure the catch can should go inbetween the PCV(sp?) and the intake manifold...not the valve cover and intake tube.

Someone correct me if I am wrong....

You can pseudo baffle the greddy, just get some brass brillo from the hardware store and stuff the greddy can with it (just unbolt the bottom). that will condense oil vapors and catch droplets.

The cars with the pcv coming off the vapor separator on the back of the block are a bit inefficient and can benefit from a catch can going between the pcv and the intake manifold. the valve cover breather hose on my car is dry and shows no oil so i took a suggestion and just put a cheap *** inline fuel filter in the hose as it goes to the tubing between my air filter and my turbo.

If anyone has further comments, I would welcome them as I have not yet installed my catch can yet.

okay, I am confuse as hell again....

so, if I ran it from the PCV valve to the IM, how should I do it ????

and I guess I just need to run a tubing from the valve cover breather to the intake pipe before turbo and putting a fuel filter in between...

but can someone show me how to run the catch can from the PCV valve to the IM ?

thanks

btw, it's 98 GS-R
