Oil in intake tubing of Greddy SOHC turbo
I pulled off the intake tube since I've been hearing almost something like a ticking noise from my turbo, so when I look inside the tube theres all this dirty oil, just a film coating the inside of the tube.... the wheel on the turbo itself is clean and im about to go check the pipe leading to the intercooler, to see if there is any there... as of now, i still have the tube attached from the valve cover to the intake... should I go out and buy one of those breather filters? Is this my problem? And right now, is it hurting my turbo?
Thanks in advance, and yes I did do a search in regards to the subject but found minimal answers.

Re: Oil in intake tubing of Greddy SOHC turbo (lazerus)
Its not a small amount though... its almost pooling at the bottom of the intake. Sorry for not stating this.

Do you have the valve cover breather hose connected to the intake tube? Ditch it... put a cap on the nipple on the intake piping and put one of those little valve cover breather filters on the valve cover. Should solve the oil buildup problem... the vapors from the valve cover have oil in them and eventually it all collects down by the turbo as it's the lowest point in the intake piping.
