Default solution to better 60'

As some of you know Im planing on entering the sfwd class this spring. Today I was reviewing on my setup and thinking of some of the problems that i had this year, mostly launching and tire slippage. so i was thinking that most of the pros launch on a psi that there suspension, tire can handle, but for most of use we would need to launch on very low boost. Ive tried many diff boost controllers and a few wg, but after reading a couple thread some guys had solve this problem buy running twin wastgates. Well the point of this thread is twin wastgate are the solution but some of us that have log, top mount, or even ram horn style manifolds don't have the money to go get another manifold or have the tools to add a 2nd wg to our mani. I thought of a adapter that can bolt up to the mani on the the wg flange that supports the use of twin wg, it would have to be braced to support the weight of twin wg. For all you fab guys can anyone design one?

What gives you the reason to beleive that you specifically need 2 wastegates to improve your 60's? How much bost are you running in 1st gear? What do you have for suspension mods?
Putting 2 wastegates on the same pipe where you originally had one won't do anything for you, you absolutely need 2 different pipes placed on 2 runners or a bigger hole in the middle of the collector with 2 pipes split with the gates at the end of them.

Well i didnt say this is the only way to get better 60's but the problem i had was i wasnt able to get lower then 15psi on launch with my 44mm tial. and even with 2step and preloading etc my best 60' to date was a 1.9. I know with more seat time i could lower that, but for now i want to launch on lower boost.

I have a 1bar spring. The last time i went lower then 9psi i messedup my tranny.
so if running twin wg is not an option is there any way to get lower psi? maybe a bigger wg?

Get a 7psi spring and start there, I don't know how you messed up your trans by turning the boost down... your boost level has nothin to do with it messin up the trans.

You don't need any extra wastegates, start with a 7psi spring and run that in 1st gear also get yourself a good staged boost controller and play with the boost till your getting traction in the lower gears.

lol the 9psi was tire pressure, when i went to 8 and 7 psi of tire pressure the tire bit to much and it messed up the diff.

You need to learn to how to preload the clutch and that will save on your trans and axles, you shouldn't have any problems with any of that after you preload the clutch.

Yeah i know, thats why i need more seat time. So you don't think the twin wg would work, because i got a lot of creep with a smaller wg

If you are running a 1 bar spring, you cant boost lower than the spring. Get a lighter spring if you want to run lower boost like Adi Radoncic said.

the twin wastegates will work, to be able to control the boost in 1st gear (turn it way down) but really dude I would first start with a 7psi spring.. try that out rather than going and spending another $400 or whatever on another gate.

whats was 2step set at? i ran 17psi (1bar spring) no boost controller and could get low-mid 1.6 60fts. I would air the tires down to 6-7 cold..do good 3rd gear burnout and go from there...

The 2step was set at 7800, but the reson why I had tranny problems was because im learning on a stock diff
