Default Boost Creep.... solutions?

Ok... My 38mm Tial wastegate creeps up a bit after vtec...

it will hold 8psi fine until like 6 grand then it slowly creeps up to 10-11... never any higher...

can someone tell me where to start with troubleshooting....

right now the line goes to one of my many vaccuum sources on the back of my AEBS intake manifold...

thanks in advance... has anyone else had this happen?

I have the same problem with a Neukin Manifold (ramhorn), but the problem seems to go away if I use a boost controller and go above the spring pressure. Since I have a switch to go from high to low boost I can easily switch back down to wastegate spring pressure once I go high to low. So it's not a question of flow, but probably something else. I too am connect through a vaccum manifold (Golden Eagle)

lol if u creep at low boost how can u expect a boost controller to help u? u can´t have less boost than the spring rate, turn up the boost a little and it might stop creeping or creep less.
I still say u need a bigger wg for low boost.

Boost controller or bigger gate. I sold my 38 before even using it due to all the boost creep issues that Ive seen. Switched to the 48mm turbosmart.

So for example my setup with will 8psi high boost (stock d16) and 5 psi low boost so i should us a 44mm wastgate or something bigger then a 38mm to stop boost creep at low boost pressure???

Smaller gates are better at controlling higher boost to a certain point because the small area of the valve has more tension then just the gasses flowing to through the turbine housing. Like everyone said try a larger WG, there much better at controlling lower boost pressures. You say custom ramhorn manifold, who made it for you? If you have poor design meaning small runners or improper wg placement that will also cause boost creep

Yes, my 38 creeped from 7.5 to more than 10 ( i had boost cut set at 10) with the 44 it wont go over 9.5.
The basic is that u cant boost less than the spring rate.

move the vacum line from the WG to the turbo housing instead of putting it on the IM.

if you realy want to controll boost , just add another 38mm gate , should never creep again ,

This can be more work than its worth in some cases. I thought hard about doing this instead of moving to a larger gate. Space can be a concern in some chassis as well. But nonetheless its definitely another option.
