7psi spring making 11psi steady, how come?
Just curious,
I have a top mount with 2 Tial wastgates 44mm, they each have a 7psi spring in them yet they go up to 11psi and hold steady, no creep no nothing. I'm not complaining but can anyone explain to me why it does this? (obviously this happens without a boost controller hooked up to it)

low backpressure, non optimal priority on the manifold, taking the source off the intake manifold but having a boost gauge source by the turbo
to name a few

I would think that even with less than optimal WG placement Dual 44's would still hold boost at w/e the WG springs are rated for, I dont think I have ever seen a Topmount with teardrop cutouts on the runners they all look like 90 bends from what I have seen.

if you don't have the priority, it doesn't matter what wastegate you have

WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY PRIORITY? IM HAVING A SIMILAR PROBLEM. BUT IT HAPPENED AFTER I WENT FROM A 11PSI SPRING TO A 7

Re: 7psi spring making 11psi steady, how come?
It doesn't spike nor creep to 11psi, it holds steady, it seems as if the springs inside were made for 11psi. Since it holds steady, we simply tuned it around that power level. This is why we don't see it as a problem. Either way, we planned to go more than 11psi, (actually running at 18psi)
