Default sohc turbo setup

This winter i think im going to sell my type r swap out of my crx, and build a really powerful sohc vtec boost set up. Everything is going to be built from sleeves, all internals, ported head ect...My goal is going to be 375 whp, and 11.70's in the 1/4. Do you guys think ill have to run race gas to achieve that much power???? Or is it doable on 93 octane. And here is another question. I want the best turbo for this set up. The sleaves are going to be bored to 75mm. Price is really no issue when it comes to the turbo set up. Its very important to me to get it as good as possible, considering im going to be selling my R swap out of it, and going back with a d series.

It is possible to achieve that power on pump gas with moderate compression. The D16 block is already 75mm, so you will not need to bore it for that size.

Well if i keep the type r swap, im stuck in the low 13's if im lucky, if i build a d series, im good for 11's. For the same price. Hmm so if i went to like a 78mm piston, and 9.8:1 pistons i should be able to make a good amount of power.

If you go to a 78mm bore you will need to sleeve the engine. Yes you could definately make a good amount of power. Have you looked into what size turbo you want to go with?

Boosted D is run , and you should have no problems running 11's on a built block with a good turbo and GOOD TUNING

if you decided to do it, i have a bad *** D turbo manifold for sale, also a good intercooler that would work great for a bad *** D setup

Because if he sells the Hype R motor then he'll have even more money for a better turbo setup and a BUILT motor.

its definetly acheivable because there is a guy making 302whp on a stock z6 block in a crx and ran 11.80's. good luck and welcome back to the other side.

Thanks guys, one of the whole reasons for this post, is to figure out what kind of turbos you guys are using for big horse power numbers. I'd like to go with a precision ball bearing turbo obviously, and yes i know a boosted R would be cool, but boost and R dont really go hand and hand imo. I know people with boosted R's on here are making good numbers, but eh...I want a mean *** d series. So the set up i want, is definitely a benson sleaved 78mm block, All forged internals obviously, a love fab mine me (hook it up cody) And what turbo???? I want fast as hell throw you in the back of your seat, and make you pee your pants a little power. Haha thats just me tho.
