Default Turbo SOHC Opinions

I am thinking about going sohc turbo in my eg. I am not very well educated on sohc turbo setups and would like to know what the pros and cons of this setup versus a b series setup for daily driving. I want a car that produces good hp and keeps decent reliabilty.

I would also like to get your Opinions on;
what block and head to start with,
the best parts to build the bottom end ( pistons, rods, etc.)
what kind of head work best suits a turbo application,
What is the best turbo to use in a DD setup.
What kind of intake manifold and turbo manifold.

Also what transmission to use?
Do any companies make lsd for sohc transmissions?
What gears ratios to run, etc.
reliable, good information sources and shops that do these kinds of builds in socal. i know most of this info is probably buried somewhere in this thread but i would appreciate it if you sohc turbo people would help me out and fill me in

I personally vote for the d, but if your going to go all out on those parts i'd just go b series. Get the pistons and what not, research there, lots of companies. Plus, with the b series you can find a short geared tranny with lsd from the factory. Again, it seems like you have the money, so i'd go B. Plenty of threads though, and builds to give you an idea of what to do.

Check out http://www.turbod16.com

If your looking to stay below 300hp stay with the D.

Pretty much the conclusion i've come to. After that they seem to become headaches in a DD.

Not my personal experience, just from what i've seen of other people's setups.
