SOHC Turbo questions....... help please
I have a 1994 cx hatch... with as follows:
d16z6 w/ del sol lsd tranny
bbk 255 fuel pump
vortech fpr
AEM CG
ACT Stage 3 clutch
Fields vtec controller
2.5 cat back
NOS Wet kit
I just purchased the greddy turbo kit for my car, witht he big front mount. I would like to know if there is anything that you can forsee that I would need so that i wouldnt have any problems.... I would like to run 10lbs., but i need to get a boost gauge and boost controller.. How many pounds will i run with out the boost controller? ... Basically I want to make close to 300 hrspwr, and I want to know what i will need, with taking the cheapest way about doing it that way.... Thanks for any input...

You're asking alot from a little. The stock GReddy SOHC kit doesn't come with a BOV, but it doesn't come with an intercooler either so maybe whoever you're buying from has one. The kit boosts 5.5psi stock, but with an intercooler should drop to around 3-3.5psi with no boost controller.
How do you plan on fueling it? AFC hack? FMU? Hondata? The kit comes with it's own fuel solution (GReddy blue box and FMU), which I personally don't like but.. to each his own. As for 300whp.. not a chance with the GReddy kit. At 10psi (assuming you took car of the fuel) look for 200whp +/-. 300whp will require alot more turbo and an engine to handle it..

Couldn't agree more. No way to get 300 horse out of just the greddy kit.

AFC hack will be fine up to 10psi, but i'd look into a real fueling system i.e. Hondata asap.
And yes a boost controller is neccesary... if you want to boost more than what the wastegate is set at anyways.
