Default Questions about greddy kit.

Alright so I plan on turboing my ls eventually. I've been doing a lot of reading and searching to research everything. I've come to the conclusion that I want the greddy kit. The 18G turbo is perfect for what I want to do, which is basically a decently fast street car. Also because of the fact that it is street legal. Now I know once I add the intercooler and bov it won't be street legal anymore, but it will be a lot easier to pass inspection because they may just see the carb sticker/certificate or whatever it is that I get, and let it be.

Now my question is once I've got the kit, what other things will I need?

Intercooler
BOV
Turbo Timer/Boost Controller? Does Blitz make a boost controller with a built in turbo timer, or any company for that matter?
Guages/Guage Pods

Is there anything else not included in the kit that I will need or should know about?

For the Emanage, how well is the preprogrammed fuel settings? I don't wanna go crazy with the boost as I've read about all of the boost creep once people have tried to go to 15psi plus I don't want to have to work the internals. I know it comes programmed at 7, I was thinking maybe of going to 8 or 9, but then of course I will definatly have to get it tuned. Should I get it retuned anyway for the 7 if that's what I decide to stay at?

Would 500 miles be enough to break the turbo in?

As of right now that's all the questions that I can remember that have come up in my research that I really haven't found exact anwsers for. Any help is really appreciated.

The kit is complete except for the parts you listed. Buy it slap it on and your good to go. I would suggest getting it tune on the dyno to see where your A/F ratios are at. I honestly don't know how well the e-manage is programmed thats why I would get it tuned or atleast buy a wideband.

Intercooler- johnny race car or just buy the greddy type 31.
BOV- Tial, greddy, Hks,etc....
Boost controller I would reccomend the Apexi AVCR but that can be up to you if not research.
Turbo timer-- manually by hand save the loot for tuning or bigger injectors, better fmu,etc....
Gauges- SPA dual gauge bezel because the save space and is well worth the money paid. My pics are down the page a little

I don't think turbos need a break in period. Correct me if I'm wrong someone.

Hope that helps,
Roy

I was thinking about it and reading in another thread, there's no real reason for a turbo timer, I'll just hang out in my car a few extra min. So all I have to worry about is a boost controller.

Just remembered another question. Clutch, will stock hold or should I upgrade and if I upgrade what would be a good recommendation?

Ride on the stock clutch til it starts to slip then replace it.
