sohc greddy kit on b16?????
im going to turbo my 1999 si and ive have been looking for the right turbo set up that i want, its a daily driver and i want the car to last for a while so im only going to run 6-9 psi. I want a turbo that spools up fast so ive been thinking of buying a sohc greddy kit for two reason, it spools fast with a small turbo and its only 1500, what do you guys think of this setup on a b16a2, will it be reliable, would there be problems? also has anyone done it and wat kind of times and hp numbers do they have.... thanks for the help (also i know i would have to get a new turbo mainfold)

manifold is different
oops you already know that, seems like it would work though

It'll work, I did it a bit back onto my LS dohc motor...I no longer run that setup, but it did work well enough (with a T3) to smoke more than a handfull of quick cars.
The piping will require some 'rigging' for the I/C and you should be able to use the DP supplied, but will need to take an exhaust mani gasket and have a new flange welded onto the Mani... the manifold will not be the most efficient, but will work well. It will bottleneck slightly at the exit of the port.
You should think about selling the sohc mani and using what you get to buy a dohc mani, will give you a smoother and faster spool.

Re: sohc greddy kit on b16????? (X2BOARD)
i have that turbo kit on my LS crx right now.......works fine and it spools very fast....its nice.....and i believe you cna put a 16g turbo on the manifold......
and all you do to the manifold is to widen the bolt holes and take out your outer most exhaust manifold studs.....its kinda ghetto but it works and its CHEAP!! good luck.

actually X2BOARD it doesnt leak at all! runs just fine! so
hmmm.... I've seen that rig before (not yours).... You prolly haven't had it for over a year right ? All I have to say is....
Wait....
I'll save your for later... but hey...boostinb18.... if you're winning.... who cares what rig you have under the hood ?
BTW, boostinb18's rig DOES work despite that rig's penchant for pre turbo leaks... I've witness it before.
