SOHC dies, a new powerplant emerges
Was a 98 SOHC turbo, running t25 DSM turbo at 10psi, approx 200hp
The Ride
Then disaster struck! AHHHH threw a rod :-(
The new powerplant! approx 200k on it
New goodies!! lookin for 350-400 hp
cp 9:1 pistons
Eagel ESP rods
60 trim turbo
fully balanced crank
hondata s200
spec 6 pucker.....all the goodies

eh, stupid shop did the turbo install, i guess to much boost (sometimes it would creep to 12psi) and a bad tune

the d16y blocks are pretty notorious for throwing rods or moreover spinning bearings, one of my neighbors did it at like 6k rpms. either way, sorry to hear it.
you will be 100x more happy with the dohcvtec. i went from a sohcvtec turbo to an ls turbo and it was decent improvement. from that i went to a lsvtec turbo and it was night and day over the ls. your build looks good, im sure you will enjoy it

chrome on a chipped p28, stock fuel pump and s2000 injectors....on a **** street tune....probably why the motor blew
