Default exhuast smoke???

hey wassup guyz i just recently swapped in a y8 motor and greddy turbo kit. and white greyish smoke is comin out alot. its makin me sick. what can be the problem? when i had this turbo kit on my d15b it didnt blow smoke like this.

u think its too rich?? theres a leak at the intake manifold also cuz of the hondata i/m gasket doesnt fit. can that be the problem?

oh and also my battery dies after awhile. this didnt happen with my last swap what can that be? TIA

EDIT*kewl.. umm i have a leak where my hondata intake manifold gasket is can that be it? can that make me run rich? my turbo is good cuz when it was on my last motor it didnt smoke.

First look at all possibilities it could be and use the method of deduction to rule out what it CANT and see what your left with.

Possibilities could be running rich, could be bad seals in turbo, could be too much oil to turbo, could be poor oil drain, could be bad rings, could be bad pistons, could be bad valve seals, bad valve guides etc etc

do a search on HT and find out how to diagnose each of these problems. Each of these topics have been covered extensively. HT

i think its too much oil. my motor is doing something like that too. i just did an oil change on my car and now it smokes like a bat outta hell. that or ur pistons r fwaked.

do a compression check, i did and all of them are fine. in fact, every test that i done is from h-t and it seems to be fine, but i got crazy smoke coming out. good luck and keep me posted.

dont forget to do the leakdown test, i need to do it soon.

My **** smoked when I used mobil 1 syn. I switched to castrol half-senthetic and never had a problem since. btw I dont remeber but I sure you already know the color of the smoke will tell you the problem. Do a search. What happened to your d15b? get tired of it?

I did a search under "smoke color"

"blue oil
white water coolant
black rich"

I dont think a leak is going to make you run rich, If your still using the AFC hack, it bases its fuel on the MAP / RPM. This is an assumption. I would say give it less fuel, check your plugs, are they super black? Its gonna be funny if you lost hp with your swap. As you know fuel is directly porportional to torque, atleast thats what I hear.

try getting the intake manifold to seal. Because i had a vacuum leak on my h22 turbo prelude it was running hella rich. After i fix it, it went back to normal. My friend hated to be behind me because it was during summer and they had to breath the fumes from my exhaust. Try to get i/m fix. At least if you did that then you'll eliminate that being the problem.
