Default No oil leaks, but some smoke is coming from the manifold...

Ok the turbo is just rebuilt. I get no visable leaks from the feed or return line, but yet some smoke is coming off the manifold. Any ideas?

Would the return line being a little bent cause this?

How long have you run the engine since rebuild? Is the manifold cast? Painted?
If the return like is bent definately fix it!!! this line should be free flowing, if it is bent it would cause there to be oil pressure within the turbo which could be hard on the seals. It could also cause lack ofoil flow which in turn could cause the oil to boil and coke in the turbo.

was it just installed. sometimes stuff like wd40 and oil get on the mani and they burn off. sometimes it stains. But if its a fresh install, id check to make sure the mani is bolted up tight, inside the compressor looks the same as it did before you started it up and that all the gaskets are still good.

thanks guys. Yeah it was just installed. It might of been left over oil/wd40. Finally stopped after an hour or so.
