Sleeving Questions??

Default Sleeving Questions??

Im in the process of building my turbo kit, and the question of sleeving pops up after i buy a new part. im looking for nothing spectacular, like 300 hp max. so do i really need to sleeve my block. its a b18c1. so help me make up my mind.

You've been here for 2.5 years and you still don't know how to search? Jeez. 300 horsepower is perfectly fine on stock sleeves in a daily appllication. Lots of people are pushing 350+ on daily drivers. 500+ on race gas has been done on numerous cars on stock sleeves.

stock sleeves are fine if your tuning is up to par.

True, especially if you are just trying to make 300whp. Also im sure one of those 138 threads covered your question. Hopefully your question is answered now. Good luck with your project.

with proper fuel management and tuning, 300hp is doable with stock sleeves.

You shouldnt have to build a sleeved block to handle that much HP. Concentrate on bigger injectors and ESPECIALLY tuning, dyno tuning as precise as can be.
