Contact Darton for authorized sleeve installers. ERL is one of them. For UK, check with Darton.

Dont you dare sell your dartons and get golden eagles. contact darton and they will do whatever it takes to find you a shop who can do so.

don't ship your block overseas, just buy one sleeved with darton sleeves from reputable shop in US, will probably save time and money. shipping bare block would probably cost as much as that shop buying one for you in US if not more.

Golden Eagle has actually messaged me if I'm right and they can either sleeve my own block or sell me a sleeved block but they only use their own sleeves and don't do darton.

I will probably decide on this during the week once I contacted few places and get some qoutes as well as check with the shipping company to see how much will it cost me to send the block and sleeves to the US.

Did you ask Darton if they have an authorized installer in the UK? It's crazy nuts to ship the block over here.

Those golden eagle guys are so desperate. Its your money do what you want with it but I don't understand why you would get GE when you have Dartons. Find someone to do it for you man. Ship your sleeves to a shop that already has a core and then they will ship it back to you. That way you don't have to spend the money shipping the entire block. I am sure exospeed or darton would be happy to get you a core and all you would have to do is spend the money to ship your sleeves to them. Otherwise you would spend alot shipping that block back and forth.

Shipping the sleeves and getting the workshop to get a block actually is a good idea which I haven't thought off. As this problem risen on Friday and then faced with the weekend there is no much I can do since almost every place is closed.

I will be early thing on the phone on Monday morning to few more workshops, if none can do it then I will get in touch with Darton 1st to see if they know someone, else I will see if anyone from the US can supply the core and I will ship the sleeves over to them.

Yakuza speak to performancetek, he is based in glasgow iirc and has a good reputation with his sleeving

Also I think performance autoworks can get it done for you, they are a little closer as well

I'm not in a rush, if takes a month or two then let it be as I don't expect to complete the car until Feb or Marsh 2008 on the nearest.

darton sleeves are a waste... cause its gonna cost you ALOT to get them installed... your average shop wont be able to do it...

sell them and go with benson or GE

Performancetek has on his own and customers cars, Performance autoworks would sub contract it out to a local engineering place that would have done it before

One question though, has anyone weight their block or know what a B16 block weight?
