Default Sleeves, Forged Pistons, and knock sensor

Is it common for the stock konck sensor pickup knock and retard the timing after building the H22 block with sleeves and forged pistons? I have run a stock H22 @ 8psi for over 1 year without detonation. I recently built the block with 9.0:1 JE's, and this started to happen after high rpm runs. Oh yeah, I have not yet raised the boost, and fuel system is the same as before, and runs rich right through.

Anybody experience this?

Could be piston slap causing the noise in the cylinders that the stock knock sensor is hearing. I know GruvyTune had a similar problem using a J&S on his built GSR motor.
