Homemade downpipe, what do I need?
I was curious about what I would need to make my own downpipe. I know I need a 5 bolt flange to bolt to the turbo, but the information I need would mostly be for the piping itself. I'm gonna make my own i/c piping with the aluminum piping, but what kind of piping would I need for a dp? What material would be best to use...and what should I try to avoid? Where can I find flanges that would bolt it up to my exhaust?

RRE (roadraceengineering.com) offers the five bolt flange. The U-bend you would need one tight tight radius....around 3".....and the diameter you wish to run 2.5" or 3"....and one 90 degree bend.....I was just thinking how RevHard did mine and seems like that would be their way...I've also called InlinePro and they said you could make it out of one U-Bend...with tight a tight radius....but that's asking for perfection so get yourself two

you def. need someone who knows how to weld. buy a 304 stainless u bend and straight pipe. that should be all you need. and you will need a flex pipe
