Simple turbo install questions.
Hopefully, if hondata gets done with my ECU this week(which they have had for about 4-5 weeks) I will be installing the turbo this weekend. I just have a couple simple questions about a few things.
1. Do I need to use teflon tape or paste on my oil feed line? Where?
2. Do I need to use teflon tape or paste on my oil return line? Where?
3. How do I properly cut -10an steel braided line? Put tape around the spot I want to cut?
4. Should I use loctite on any bolts? Such as the turbo to manifold or DP to turbo?
5. Should I use studs in place of some bolts?
6. What small things do you recommend to help with the install.
Help is much appreciated!

1-3, yes... all the other ones i could answer but they arent for certain.
One of the nuts holding my manifold to my head kept coming off and I kept losing it, so I put some blue LocTite on it.
It's generally easier to get the turbo bolted to the manifold, and then bolt the turbo/manifold onto the head as one unit.

I would not use tape on questions 1 an 2. You need to use the paste, if tiny bits of tape fall over the hole as you are tightening the line down you could plug parts of the line and have nasty crap floating around your oil. Paste is always better than tape, use the paste on everything.
question 3: I would suggest you use a little tape, but also put a hose clamp around it to give it even better protection from fraying.
question 4: do not use them on turbo to mani, just turbo to DP(it works good too)
question 5: why would you do that?
question 6: if you are installing the Drag kit, the list will be way too long for me to type in one sitting.

I used blue loctite, NOT RED, on all my downpipe/manifold/and turbo bolts.
I used teflon tape on the oil feed lines and return lines.
proper way to cut SS lines is to wrap them in ductape and then cut.
make sure u get new gaskets where neccessary.
most of all. TAKE YOUR TIME. HAVE FUN. and GOOD LUCK!

Small things to help the install:
-Have good lighting
-Lay some cardboard down and use a towel or something for a pillow
-Get the 22 or 23 mm wrench for the oil sending unit instead of using an adjustable wrench.
-WD-40 all the nuts/bolts u want to take off
-If u have to do any wiring, solder it, don't crimp.
-Take ure time and make sure things are clean
Have fun bro

i dont know about you guys, but
paste ane d teflon tape is only supposed to be used
on threaded fittings.....
AN and compression fittings dont require paste
nor teflon tape.!
