if its a stock cx it would be a d16y7

the kit will bolt on but the intake piping will need to be changed to fit onto the vertical tb.

Go for it here is what mine did on 6psi with a greddy kit. My motor has 27,500mi on it pretty close to your buddies. If you change the Intake manifold then you don't have to redo the charge piping...

stock d16y7 @ 6psi
y8 intake manifold
intercooled greddy kit td-04h
hondata s200b
obd1 conversion
p06
340cc injectors
2.5" spoolin downpipe
85degress outside.

First run for baseline was 142whp 145tq @ 4800rpm 6psi a/f 15-1 14-1 super lean
After a little adjustment by my tuner we ended up with this
163 whp and 158tq @ 6psi. I tried to bump the boost up a couple of pounds but the tuner had my injectors running 100% duty cycle and the a/f ratios were right around 12.5 at full boost.

I think I am going to have to pick up some 440's to get my extra 2-4 psi

So to all of you thinking of boosting your y7 go for it.....
