Default Searched... no definate answer... Help Please... Turbo question...

A couple of you might remember me from my last post with my horrible dyno numbers tuned by st00pid aka Jason.

Well i've come to a decision where i've done some search but no luck... So i'm posting on H-T for some advice...

Here's my current setup:

96 JDM ITR Motor Stock 11:1 C/R Bent Valves losing 50% compression
Used Fmax Kit (Manifold, DP,Turbonetic T3/TEO4B , and FMIC)
Custom 2.25 intercooler piping
Tial WG w/ 7psi spring

Engine & Fuel Management:
Hondata S100B
440cc Saturated Injectors
Walbro 255 lph Fuel Pump
AEM Fuel Rail & FPR
Timing is at 13* advance according to timing gun but ecu read 15* advanced

I am currently losing 50% Compression, and at 7 psi I am only making 193 to the wheels... The reason for this is because i have some bent valves...

Well here's my dillema, being that I need to fix my head and retune/dyno my car i don;t want to waste anymore money later on to tune my car again. So my goal is to hit 300hp to the wheels @ 7psi.

I do not want to up my boost to hit this goal so that will not be an option... which leads me to these 3 decision.

a: Spend 650 for a new SC61 Turbo and achieve 300 hp

or

b: spend 300-400 on T3/TEO3 E turbo that will probably get me to 260-270

or

c: don;t spend any money at all and use the current one I have and hope that it will get me at least 250...

to those who are making 300 hp... is it worth it? can u actually use all that power without having a traction issue? for those who have 250, would you say its more then enough for a daily driver? and for those who have my turbo... how much are u putting down?

After replacing the bad components in the head; new parts will consist of:

Manley Valves
AEBS Headstuds
Hondata IM Gasket
Cometic Headgasket

*Still debating if i should upgrade these: skunk2 valvetrain upgrade or Rocket xxx offered via camp1320 valve train.

Any thoughts, suggestions or anything at all is welcomed... thanks for the help and support

if you don't re-tune your car again, you're just going to break more stuff.

you're willing to spend more money on parts, but not willing to re-tune it.

That is by far the most idiocratic thing i've heard in months.

ur not reading my post correctly, I am retuning it again once i get my head fixed. but while I am doing it I want to hit my goals...

I don;t want to retune it with the head fixed, then couple mo. later retune it again b/c i didnt hit the goals that I set out for myself...

get it? i'd be stupid to fix the head and not retune my motor... i'd be askin for **** to blow...

Is the question and help I am asking for a subjective one? hence few replies...

If you have the money to hit your goals then i say buy the turbo that you can afford and hit them. the sc61 "depending on the combination of hot/cold side" may be too big for you. i say this because you are running 11:1 compression.

Are you gonna be feeding your car race gas all the time?

From the videos ive seen here on HT and from members post 300 Front wheel hp is about as much as is streetable in a honda. Along with fighting for traction ive seen people swerve 2-3 lanes just trying to keep the car straight.

i don;t have the money... but if it's well worth it then i'll save up a little bit more and buy the sc61...

no, i will not be putting race gas in it only 91...

the reason why i am asking is to know from those with 300 if the power is even usable... at 193 the moment when i floor my car when it's wet or slippery my tires spins and i have no traction... i can;t imagine how much more it will be with 300, but then again how much more powerful adn fun 300 will be...

but if i can get sides from both ppl with an avg hp number i guess it'll help me better in my decision...

at first my goal was to hit 250 and i'd be happy... but finding and hearing from st00pid and tom from camp1320 that i can eventually make 300 with only 7psi of boost, it's enticing...
