i remember using seafoam on my NA car that i sold a while back.. it seemed to help some.. there was a thread on the FI forum bout seafoam not to long ago and i dont think that anyone really gave a straigh answer.. i would be kinda iffy about running it with my turbo but its a combustable cleaner so it all gets burned up anyways before it gets to the the turbo if you were to put it in the manifold using the vacuum hose.. now if it was put into the oil or gas like it is supposed to work then i would like to hear from people that have done it that way!

ive used it on my FI setup , quad-damage on this board used it today as a matter of fact..... it works great and causes no problems with FI setups

what method did you and him use when using it on your FI setups?? ive only used through the brake booster vacuum method and it seemed to clean the car out pretty good.. would like to hear what other people think about the gas tank and combustion chamber...

when i had a half tank of gas .....
i first sucked in half through the brake booster , let it sit 10 min . put the other half in the tank , then run it untill it stoped smoking . then i changed my plugs and wires

did you change your plugs and wires because they needed to be changed or b/c the seafoam messed them up??

Sea Foam won't touch your wires. A plug change might be a good idea, just because it's so cheap. I don't see why it would hurt it...and if you're worried, just stay out of boost for one tank of gas, or just do the oil and IM treatment, leaving the sea foam out of the gas all together.

i didnt think that seafoam would mess up the wires... u say just stay out of boost for one gas tank.. im more worried about the seafoam being in the oil and then getting into the turbo.. even tho your not boosting oil still goes through the turbo correct?? is it recommended that you change the oil after using seafoam? its been a while since ive done it and i forgot the steps..

Re: (DaX)
i know people talk about it getting all the build up out and stuff.
and then i read about how some people use it at every oil change.
does carbon build up that quick? or is that overkill?

I've used Seafoam twice so far. Put some in through the vacum line, put some down the oil hole, put some in the gas tank... I have still not gotten my car to smoke like everyone elses apparantly does. Guess mine is minty clean on the inside?

how much did you put in the vaccum line. You suppose to put enough to throttle the engine and let it die. then let it sit for about 5-15 mins and then crnak it up

Re: (Vinhtran17)
now once again im concerned, This is a quote it got from team-integra.net (this member from there)
quote:
"i would think it could possibly be bad for the turbo since the sea foam is poured into the intake manifold, then it cleans the valves and combustion chamber of carbon buildup and the carbon and what not has to exit the engine by the exhaust which means through the turbo, causing the turbines to come in contact with more amounts of carbon than usual"
now reading that, im not sure if hes right. can anyone correct him so i could start on the sea foam already.. thanks

dont even trip , if you pour it into your oil it will cycle through the turbo . if it goes through the fuel system it will burn out the carbon and everything including the turbo .
