SC61 on stock ls?
i have an sc61 turbo with a 6psi spring in the wg, how long do you all think the stock motor would last on 6psi tuned without getting into boost too often? plan to build a motor if i dont go lsvtec with a vortech but will take some time and would like some pwer in the mean time.
you should be fine as long as you stay ontop of regular maintenance.... and why not stick with the sc61 turbo setup after you build the ls/vtec? It'll be crap loads better than a vortech imo
ive talked to darin quite a bit, i want to do a vortech because its something different, a year or so ago when i decided i wanted to give imports a shot darins eg was one of the few boosted hondas around here, now there all over the place

That would be like me saying "I'm a man, but I'm going to cut my junk off because it would be something different." or "I'm going to swap out my B18C5 for a yugo motor, because it's something different"
Trust me, in this case you don't want to be different. I had a Vortech, and if it tells you anything I will never own one again.

thanks for everyones input, im workin on an ls vtec with forged pistons and rods and im gonna stick to the turbo, i heard the vortech takes forever to build boost. im gonna shoot for 350whp on my lsvtec on pump gas and hope i come up a little higher
