As long as you get the TO4E version of the SC61, they are the same.

The .63 A/R is refering to the exhaust housing, not the compressor.

How about a SC50 vs GT-28R or GT-28R??? Does either of these GT series turbos have a bigger compressor housing???

I'm very certain the GT28R and GT28RS (assuming you meant to say GT28RS instead of GT28R twice ) housings are smaller than a TO4E housing.

The GT28R and GT28RS both use a .60 A/R T3 compressor housing. It is A LOT smaller than the T04E housing used by the SC50 and SC61 (assuming TO4E version).

I have a GT28R and had an SC50. The SC50 dwarfs the GT28R. However, the GT28R can pack on hell of a punch for how small it is both physically and in terms of its compressor size. It's a great turbo to work with in confined spaces (ie, a 1G CRX with a DOHC swap ).

We make the GT30R with a T04E (3" inlet, 2" outlet) compressor cover cover also. We could get you into a GT3251 with the "B" cover which is smaller (2-5/8" inlet, 1-3/4" outlet). I know the inlet outlet sizes are the issue, but it is a smaller cover. Hope this helps.

Hey Rod... It's Marc (from HondaDriven).

I'm pretty sure you once told me that the Garrett GT30R housings are diff than the Precision GT30R housings. Is that correct or did i mix something up?

That's correct, Marc. The out-of-the-box Garrett turbo uses their compressor cover. Precision turbos use our own casting. Hope this helps.
